...Roberto Esquivelzeta
Mexican tenor Roberto Esquivelzeta was born in México City, and had his first studies in 1995 with Soprano Diana Jimenez, later on, with Maestro Julio Julián. After that in 1997, he travels to Europe and joins the famous “Bel Canto school of singing” in Dublin, Ireland under the supervision of Maestro Frank Merryman and coach Edwin Williamson.
Back in México in the year 2001 he continues his studies until today, with the prestigious Maestro and tenor Ricardo Sánchez, and it is here where he learns the ancient Italian Art of “Canto sul Fiato” (sing over the breathing). At the same time he studies harmony, music theory and operatic repertoire with Maestro Emilio Pérez-Casas, who is recognized for the great talent he has to teach how to develop the role, how to express the art of the composer, share the great experience he has during his life in music.
In december 2008, he has his debut with the “Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil Carlos Chavez”, in the role of Turiddu by Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, with Maestro Pablo Varela as conductor
